SOMA MARDI GRAS PARADE

20 Feb
Saturday I biked over to SoMa (South Main) to watch the Mardi Gras parade. The weather was overcast but that didn’t stop a good size crowd from coming out. Most of the businesses from USA drug down to Community Bakery were out as well. The parade was pretty short but entertaining.

It's not a party without a goat!

After the parade I walked down to the Oxford American open house at the old Juanita’s. There wasn’t much going on but they had done some work on renovating the space and I got to talk with some of the people there about the plans for the space. It’s still pretty open ended right now but will be interesting to follow.

Thank you so much for including that goat in this post. You have made my afternoon with that 🙂
